Speedwell Forge County Park

480 Speedwell Forge Rd. | Elizabeth Township

This wonderful park offers several hiking options. There is a small loop that takes you past cultivated fields with an spectacular farmland view and through an overgrown wet meadow along Hammer Creek. This of course can be muddy, but there are several bridges and boardwalks that add to the charm of this hike.

The larger Oak Loop trail takes you through a maturing forest. This hike can get steep at times, but it's not too intense. You will pass over 2 creeks along the way. In the spring from mid April to mid May, wildflowers are abundant. The parking area is small and can fill up. Hunting is permitted in this park, so be aware during hunting season.
